Foundations of Nutrition Lecture - Sunday, January 24th
Regardless of what your motivation is for coming to the gym --- be it to lose weight, get stronger, have more energy, or raise your level of athletic ability --- the fact is, exercise is only one piece of that equation. What we put into our bodies, day in and day out, has a profound effect on our overall health, as well as our performance. While most people are aware of the importance of good nutritional practices, there is a lot of confusion in popular media about what "good" practices actually are. Terms like "paleo," "primal," and "flexible dieting" are all constantly showing up in ads and blog posts, but which, if any, is right for you?In order to help you make the best, most informed decisions regarding your nutrition, we are now offering a bi-monthly lecture series on the topics of food, sleep, and stress. Our first one will take place next Sunday, January 24th, at 9:15am, entitled "Foundations of Nutrition."Whether you just started training at Full Range (or elsewhere), or you've been with us for years; whether you know your daily intake of macronutrients, or have no idea what a macronutrient is, this lecture is designed to address everything you need to consider when it comes to nutrition, lifestyle, and recovery. We firmly believe that every individual is different, and there is no one-size-fits-all prescription. Because of this, our goal is to empower you with enough information to develop habits that work for YOU and YOUR GOALS. Expect to leave this talk with a solid foundation of knowledge from which to make smart decisions, and take sustainable steps toward better health and fitness. This lecture, and the rest in our series, will be led by me, Coach Adam. I am a Certified Sports Nutritionist (C-ISSN) and OPEX Level 1 Certified in Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching. I have coached hundreds of individuals, both privately and in groups, to reach their health and fitness goals through strength training, conditioning, and better nutritional prescriptions. I am constantly learning and upgrading my prescriptions and practices, so as to get the best results for each person I work with. The Foundations of Nutrition Lecture is free for all members, and a $20 drop-in fee for non-members. After the talk, we will have a Q&A session to clear up any confusion.Looking forward to seeing you there!
