New Competition Program Starting Next Week
In our ongoing effort to ensure that everyone who trains with us gets the right prescription for their individual needs, we are re-assessing (and re-designing) our approach to our "Competition" group training program. Our goal is to create a group program that will address the collective weaknesses of the athletes taking part in it, in the context of what is necessary to be competitive in the 2016 CrossFit Open (and beyond). We also plan to keep the volume appropriate so that everyone can continue to make progress, without experiencing burnout or injury (something that we see often in people following a widely-followed, competition-blog format). If you are interested in taking part in this group, our first official cycle will begin this Monday, November 9th, with a week of strength, capacity, and skill-based testing. This testing process is EXTREMELY important, as it is crucial that we have an accurate picture of where everyone is strong and/or weak. As mentioned, this program will be tailored to the collective needs of OUR athletes (with room for some variation from person to person, to even better address and eliminate weaknesses).Anyone that would like to take part in our Competition program must first contact Coach Adam (adam@fullrangecrossfit.com), to discuss whether or not this volume of training is appropriate. While there are no minimum strength or skill requirements, there are a few things that need to be in place (like sleep, nutrition, mobility, etc.) for this to be a viable option. If you have goals for competing in the sport of CrossFit, and/or want to help team Full Range improve on our standings in the Open, contact Adam ASAP to find out more!
